Rev. Dr. Tom Lyda serves as FCC Norman's Minister of Discipleship.  Tom is  warm-hearted man who has enjoyed many years of sharing delicious church potlucks and participating in lively committee meetings!

Originally from rainy Washington State, Tom moved to Texas for theological studies. He attended Texas Christian University in Fort Worth, earning a Master of Divinity and Doctor of Ministry in Homiletics (the Art of Preaching) from Brite Divinity School.

Tom happily enjoys life with his wonderful wife, the lovely Lisa. Together, they continue the greatest adventure: supporting and nurturing their three beautiful grown-up sons and their Labradoodle Murphy.

He spends his free time relaxing and staying active: reading books, watching his streaming list, and staying fit enough to outpace any theological debate.

Rev. Eula Hledik serves as Director of Children’s Ministry, Eula brings a passion for helping children discover faith, ask meaningful questions, and experience the love of God within a caring community as we walk in the way of Jesus. She believes children deserve a thoughtful and engaging faith formation that invites them to grow in their relationship with God, one another, and the world around them.

Eula earned her degree from Phillips Theological Seminary, where her studies deepened her passion for ministry, theology, and creating meaningful opportunities for people of all ages to grow in faith.

Outside of church, Eula treasures time with her family and especially her four grandchildren. She enjoys spending time outdoors, hiking, and cheering on the Chicago Cubs and Oklahoma City Thunder.

Stephanie serves as the Administrative Assistant and ChARM Director at First Christian Church. She has spent 26 years caring for the church’s finances and needs. 

Stephanie was born in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, and grew up in Tulsa.  She received her BA in Finance from the University of Oklahoma. 

Stephanie and her husband, Jim, have a son, a daughter, and a son-in-law.  All are members of FCC Norman.  She enjoys cruising in her spare time. 

Secretary

Gala is Adjunct Pastoral Care Minister.  She comes from Southwest Oklahoma, a place only natives may love. Raised in a protestant tradition, she valued the church's role in community and well-being. Gala professed her faith in Jesus Christ at age nine.  

After earning baccalaureate degrees in Oklahoma, in 1976 she believed God guided her to women’s ministry. She became Director of Women’s Ministries at a large Oklahoma City church, grew through training, and earned a Licensed Professional Counselor certification, fifty hours of seminary, a master’s degree, and developed counseling, education programs, events, support groups, and bi-yearly women’s conferences.

Gala’s son, daughter-in-law, and daughter live in North Dallas, and she calls her four grandchildren beloved. She spends as much time as possible with them. She is also a Docent at the Fred Jones Junior Museum of Art, a member of the University Women’s Association, and part of several small groups.

Debra is our Monther's Day Out (MDO) Director.  She has served in her current position since 2014 and has been at MDO since 2006.  Debra and her husband Hallie have two adult children – Megan and Logan.  Debra is a graduate of the University of Oklahoma with a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism.  Outside of work, Debra’s hobbies include working puzzles, reading, and traveling. 

Dylan is Director of Music Ministries & Chancel Choir at First Christian Church of Norman. He first came to know this congregation in 2018 as a choral intern, before serving as Director of Music at First Christian Church of Midwest City. He's glad to now return to Norman, where he has made his home for the past ten years.

He is a conductor and harpsichordist, and founder of the Oklahoma Baroque Orchestra, Oklahoma's only professional early music ensemble. In 2025, he was named to The Diapason's "20 Under 30" and featured in Early Music America. He holds degrees from Oklahoma City University and the University of Oklahoma, and also teaches at Oklahoma City Community College.

Dylan lives in Norman with his wife, Evelyn, and their two cats, George and Carl.
