ChARM ADVENTURES

(Christian Association of Retired Members)

Thursday, January 22 – Leave the Church at 10:45 am and enjoy lunch at Hollywood Corners. Following lunch, we will make our way to the Museum of Osteology in OKC. The museum gave us a discounted price of $9 per person. Please pay me that day, and I will pay for the entire group once we arrive. I will have a little change, but exact change is appreciated. Please RSVP for your seat on the bus.

Friday, January 30 – 8:00 am – Meet at the Boomerang located at 1100 E. Constitution in Norman for breakfast.

Sunday, February 1–Immediately following the 10:45 am worship service, we will have lunch in Fellowship Hall with our Youth. This is always a wonderful event, and I hope you will join us. Lunch is complimentary, but I do need you to RSVP, so we have enough food for all.

Friday, February 13 – 8:00 am – Meet at the OK Diner located at 1700 Lexington Avenue in Norman for breakfast.

Sunday, February 22 – Women’s Basketball Game at Lloyd Noble. OU vs. Tennessee. Currently, OU lists the game as starting at 1:00 pm, but I’ve been told that sometimes these 1:00 pm games get switched to 2:00 pm. So, we will stay flexible with the time. I will try to get discounted tickets for us – I might be able to get them for $10 each.

Please RSVP if you'd like me to buy your ticket in advance. Tickets may also be purchased at the door I believe for $15. You may prefer to drive your own vehicle or let me know if you would like a seat on the church bus.

Thursday, February 26 – Anadarko Day! We will leave First Christian at 9:45 am and arrive at Joe’s Soda Fountain Eatery by 11:00 am for lunch. Following lunch, we will make our way to the Fellowship Hall at First Baptist Church in Anadarko, where we will enjoy a presentation by direct descendants of the Kiowa Tribe.

They will be dressed in Regalia, and one was Little Red at OU, Randy Palmer. Randy’s daughter, Katherine Palmer Stevens, is the curator at the Jacobson House in Norman. I expect we will return to Norman by 4:00pm. Please sign up for your seat on the bus.

Please call Stephanie at 405-329-2192 or email her at stephanie@fccnorman.org to RSVP.  Thank you!

Pictures were taken at The National Hotel in OKC and also at La Herencia Mexican restaurant in Midwest City
